YELLOWSTONE/JACKSON

MARCH 3rd - MARCH 10th

Jackson Hole/Yellowstone Tour
March 3rd – 10th

Our prescription for a perfect Western adventure is to combine the splendor of Rocky Mountain riding and the magic of Yellowstone Park in one package.

For years the snowmobile manufacturers did their new model photo shots with the spectacular backdrop of the Rockies.  Several of Snow Goer’s Rode Reports were conducted in that same spot.  For both events, everyone stayed at Togwotee Lodge.  Why? Because, it’s the finest accommodation available.  It is the best location at the heart of two and a half million acres of Western powder. That’s where we’ll be staying.  The comfortable lodge rooms, the skilled and competent guides, the well maintained current model rental fleet all make up the elements of this quality resort. You’ll really appreciate the cocktail hour that the lodge provides too...pro bono, each evening.

As nice as Togwotee is, we take one night off and spend it in the town of West Yellowstone.  To make the most of the park portion of our tour we’ll ride from the South Gate of the park to the West gate and stay there for a night, before returning back thru the park to Togwotee.  It will be two days of Park “wonders”.  Old Faithful, Yellowstone Canyon, and personal Buffalo encounters.  A big plus before we leave West Yellowstone will be a ride up to Two Top, and Lion’s Head mountains.

Then it’s two days of riding in the snowmobile paradise just outside of Togwotee.  Weather and snow conditions permitting, one of our objectives will be to conquer Austin Peak with an elevation of 11,400 feet.  And don’t forget those nightly wind down parties in the lounge, with your drinks on the house.  It’s great after a day of “busting powder”, to compare notes with fellow riders, share a cocktail and a wonderful dinner.

Then to make the trip a total travel experience we spend two nights in the cool cowboy town of Jackson Hole.  You’ll find a shopping bonanza here.  If shopping is not your thing you may opt to take a snowmobile trip to the Granite Hot Springs.  A little “healing water” never hurt anyone.  Or, you can tour the huge Elk Refuge on the edge of town.  There are horse drawn wagons to take you eye-ball to eye-ball with thousand of majestic Elk.

No trip to Jackson Hole is complete without a visit to the Cowboy Bar with it’s “saddle bar stools”.  Also, the famous Jackson Hole city park with the elk horn entrance. This is a trip that you’ll tell your friends, kids and grandkids about.
